Theatrical Outfit brings to the stage Romulus Linney's powerful adaptation of "A Lesson Before Dying," based on the best-selling novel by Ernest J. Gaines, October 29 through November 23, 2008. When a young black man in 1940s rural Louisiana is falsely convicted of murder and sentenced to the electric chair, both he and his community must wrestle with the crimes of the times--blatant injustice and racism--and embrace the power of personal dignity and integrity.
