McDonough Road Baptist Church invites the community to Fall Revival Oct. 5-8. Fulltime evangelist Keith Fordham of Fayetteville will be the preacher and Reggie and Ladye Love Smith of Nashville, Tenn., will be the concert artists. Sunday morning’s service begins at 10:55 a.m., while the evening services begin at 7 p.m.

A graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Fordham has been in evangelism for over 30 years, and has preached over 1,200 revivals, including crusades in Canada and India. He and his wife Shirley are both talented ventriloquists who use this gift in their revivals.

The Smiths have performed in over 12 countries, and in places like the Kremlin in Moscow, Carnegie Hall in New York, and in Super Bowl XXVI. They have complemented some of the top talents in both country and gospel music including Dolly Parton, George Jones, Lee Greenwood, Brenda Lee, Patti LaBelle, Ricky Skaggs, Steven Curtis Chapman, Bob Carlisle, Ray Boltz, Sandi Patty, and Larnelle Harris. They will perform with the Gaither Vocal Band on this year’s Christmas tour.

The Smiths will present a pre-service mini-concert at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday and Wednesday, while also singing special music in every service beginning Sunday night.

“We’ve got a great revival team,” said David Chancey, pastor. “Keith’s messages are always timely, challenging, biblical, and energetic. The Smiths are quite gifted and we’re fortunate to get on their schedule. This time of revival promises to be very refreshing and meaningful.”

Childcare will be provided. Call the church, 770-460-5423 for more information. The church is on McDonough Road, past McCurry Park.
