OM celebrates 50 years next month

Operation Mobilization, an international Christian mission organization with its U.S. office in Tyrone, will mark its 50th anniversary with a celebration on Oct. 3 held at the north campus of New Hope Baptist Church in Fayetteville.

“Celebrating the Past, Shaping the Future” will be an evening of celebration, worship and looking ahead to future ministry opportunities.

In attendance will be OM’s founder George Verwer, OM leaders from around the world, former members of the mission, and local staff. The event will begin with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by the main program at 7:15. New Hope is at 551 New Hope Road. An offering will be received.
