Mr. and Mrs. Bob Pearce of Waycross announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Sandra DeLeigh Pearce of Macon, to William R. (Bill) Shelton Jr. of Macon, son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Shelton Sr. of Fayetteville. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lolette Askew and the late Fred D. Askew Jr. of Folkston, and Mrs. Dorothy Pearce and the late Jim B. Pearce Jr., also of Folkston. She is a 1999 graduate of Ware County High School in Waycross and a 2003 graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens. In 2006, she received her law degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon. She currently is the assistant district attorney for the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit. The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Robert W. and Shirley Shelton Jr. of Florence, Ore., and Joseph D. Fleming of Eureka, Calif. and the late Madge Fleming of Torrance, Calif. He is a 1992 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 1997 graduate of Georgia State University. He received his law degree in 2002 from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon. He currently practices civil defense litigation with the law firm of Murphy and Sibley, P.C., in Macon. The wedding will be Oct. 18, 2008, at 6:30 p.m., at the Johnston-Felton-Hay House in Macon. login to post comments |
