Hopewell UMC will offer Friday night movies
Hopewell United Methodist Church will host a free Friday Night Movie, on Sept. 26, at 6:30 p.m. with a viewing of “Evan Almighty,” a 90-minute comedy starring Steve Carell, as Evan, and Morgan Freeman as God. Refreshments will be available at intermission. Hopewell is at 351 Jenkins Rd. in Tyrone, directly across from Sandy Creek High School. South Metro Ministries plans youth revival
Liquid Student Ministries at South Metro Ministries church in Coweta County will have an “Irrigate ‘08” youth revival for junior high, senior high, and college/career students Friday through Sunday, Sept. 26 through 28 featuring contemporary praise and worship and guest speakers each evening. Friday and Saturday events begin at 7 p.m. and Sunday’s event begins at 6 p.m. Kevin Harris will speak Friday, Eric Abney will speak Saturday and John Brockman will speak Sunday. Kea to speak at Coweta gospel meeting
Evangelist Randy Kea will be the guest speaker at a gospel meeting at Thomas Crossroads Church of Christ Friday, Sept. 26 through Sunday, Sept. 28. Bethany’s revival starts Oct. 4

White Oak plans barbecue Oct. 4
The 25th Annual Fall Barbecue at White Oak Presbyterian Church will take place Saturday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Perennial favorites — barbecue plates, quarts of Brunswick stew, and pounds of barbecue will be $8 each.
