Norma "LaVerne" Blair, Fayetteville, died Sept. 14, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Melvin "PeeWee" Blair. She was a volunteer with the Fayette County Senior Services, the Diabetes Association and was a caregiver to numerous family and friends. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Chaplain Herb Kitchens officiating. Interment was at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Jonesboro. Survivors include daughters, Sharon Blair and Steve Edwards, Union City, and Catherine Blair Price and Russell Hawkins, Fayetteville; a stepson, Thomas L. Blair and children of Kingsland; grandchildren, Jeffrey Price, Jason and Jennifer Price, Steven Edwards, and Matthew and Brandi Edwards; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Juanita Pinion, Marietta.
