Del Braid, Peachtree City, died Sept. 11, 2008. She had been a resident of Peachtree City since 1972, having been among the early families. She was the first director of Park and Recreation for Peachtree City. She was a founding member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and was a president of the Holy Trinity Women's Guild for two years. She was named outstanding Catholic Woman of the Year by the Archdiocese of Atlanta. She was an avid golfer and president of the Women's Golf Association for two consecutive years. A Funeral Mass will be tomorrow, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Bob Braid, Peachtree city; children, Linda and Tom Hughey, Jeff and Pam Braid, Robin and Keith Cannon, and Susan Braid; grandchildren, Brian Braid, Robbie Hughey, Stacey LeBlang, Kelly Fleming, Courtney Coons, Stephanie Lopez, and Seeley Fox; great-grandchildren, Alix Braid, Kyle Fleming, Ashleigh Hughey, Kaylee Fleming, Macy Hughey, Kade Fleming, and Aubrie LeBlang; and sisters, Jackie O'Hara, and Donna Jean Gardner.
