In their first region game of the season, Landmark Christian School rolled to a 40-7 win over Pace Academy.

The War Eagles first score came when junior defensive end Josh Gebhardt recovered a fumble and ran it back 44 yards for a touchdown. Gebhardt recovered another fumble later in the game and ran it back 71 yards to the Pace two yard line.

While the defense was stout, Landmark’s offense was electric. Andrew Glaize rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns on six carries, Tanner Bryant connected on a 20 yard touchdown pass to Blake Wyatt and Blake Austin had a two yard touchdown run as well.

Defensively Josh Gebhardt also tallied nine total tackles including two sacks and a tackle for a loss to go along with his two fumble recoveries.  Glaize, Austin, Robert Waters and Nate Terry each had seven total tackles as the swarming War Eagle defense forced 11 negative yardage plays, two fumble recoveries, and an interception by QB/DB Tanner Bryant.

For the second week in a row the defense pitched a shut out as the lone Pace score came on a TD fumble recovery from the War Eagle offense.  The War Eagles take on Our Lady of Mercy this Friday night.
