A standoff at 230 Patricia Lane is over. An unidentified man has been taken into custody without incident by Fayette County Sheriff's deputies and the county SWAT team. It is not known if anyone else was in the house at the time.

The man reportedly retreated into the home a short time ago when deputies arrived at the residence, according to law enforcements. The man was said to have been armed with a handgun and was in his underwear when deputies arrived.

Initial reports said that a family friend was communicating with the man by telephone, according to reports. Also in contact with him was a hostage negotiator.

Reports indicated that the man was taken into custody at 10:25 p.m. after SWAT members went onto the porch an issued a verbal command for the man to surrender himself. There was no report of any altercation.

SWAT members are currently clearing the residence.
