Dr. John David Blanchard, 61, Fayetteville, died Sept. 1, 2008. He had served for two years as a captain in the United States Army. He had been a dentist in Fayetteville for 31 years and was a member of Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Services were at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Herzen Andone officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Linda H. Blanchard; son, Mark and Katie Blanchard, Woodstock; daughters, Susan Blanchard, Chicago, and Karen Blanchard, Atlanta; grandchildren, Madeline, Rachel, and Cameron; and a brother, Mac and Tina Blanchard, Lake Charles, La. Memorial donations may be made to the Joseph Sams School, 280 Brandywine Blvd., Fayetteville, GA 30214. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
