St. Christopher’s GreekFest set for Sept. 20

The Fourth Annual GreekFest hosted by St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church in Peachtree City will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, at Seymour Hangar, Falcon Field.

For advance tickets call Tammy Soulakos, 770-487-1004 or 404-625-4663.

Just as in past GreekFests, traditional Greek foods will be featured, such as Spanakopites (spinach/feta triangles), Tiropites (feta cheese triangles), Dolmathes (stuffed grape leaves), Souvlakia (grilled kebobs), Greek salad, Greek pastries and more.

The entry fee of $50 includes all you can eat and all adult beverages, plus live entertainment and dancing. This year, dance lessons will be offered to those who attend.

All proceeds raised will go toward the church’s building fund. St. Christopher’s has purchased 10 acres on Ebenezer Road and has set a goal to pay off the loan within three years.

The church will celebrate its fifth anniversary this October and is under the auspices of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta. The membership includes approximately 70 families and is headed by the Rev. Father George Tsahakis. Members are Orthodox Christians of Greek, Bulgarian, Russian, Romanian, and other ethnic heritage.

Services are held at 313 Dividend Dr. in Peachtree City.
