Mr. and Mrs. Keith Barber of Tyrone announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Nora Barber, to Jonathan Paul Watkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Watkins, Sr., of Fairhope, Ala.

The bride-to-be is a 1998 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and a 2002 graduate of Georgia State University earning a bachelor’s degree in German and psychology.

The groom-elect is a graduate of Southern Louisiana University and is employed by Allpax Products in Louisiana.

The couple will have a beach ceremony Oct. 4, 2008, at Gulf Shores, Ala. and will reside in New Orleans, La.
