Landmark Christian School’s varsity football team made some offensive mistakes in the first half of their game with the Warren County Screaming Devils last Thursday, but the War Eagle defense stayed strong and kept Warren County out of the endzone, keeping the score deadlocked at 0-0 at the half.

Sophomore quarterback Carson Barnett found receivers Andrew Glaize, Blake Wyatt and Tanner Bryant in the second half and senior running back Robert Waters found the endzone for the first score of the game. On Warren County’s second possession of the half, Andrew Glaize forced a fumble and Blake Austin recovered it and ran it in for a touchdown. Austin scored another touchdown for Landmark, running three yards for a score, giving Landmark a 20-0 win.

Glaize lead the defenses shut out with 15 total tackles and one forced fumble.  Senior safety Blake Wyatt added 9 total tackles and an interception while Austin had three tackles for a loss, one sack, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery for a touchdown.

This Friday Night the War Eagles travel to take on Pace Academy to open Region 5-A play.
