Thanks to an alert citizen, Fayette County deputies were able to arrest a 17-year-old and three juveniles on several burglary charges early Sunday afternoon on the north end of the county, police said.

Deputies had responded back-to-back burglary calls, one at 125 North Drive and the next at 115 Fiddlers Ridge, when they got a call to a third home at 275 Imperial Way, said Lt. Belinda McCastle of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

The caller was witnessing the crime in progress, and deputies responded by blocking the only entrance to the subdivision.

Soon enough, they stopped a 2004 Toyota Corolla with the four suspects inside, and although the older teen tried to run away, all four were captured, McCastle said.

Arrested were the three juveniles and Kenterry White, 17, of Lewis Lane in College Park. All were charged with burglary and possession of stolen property, the latter charge due to the fact that the car they were in had been reported stolen.

Inside the car were various electronic items from plasma TVs to camcorders and computers, McCastle said.

Deputies were also able to make two additional arrests connected to this case: Michael Isom, 42, of Lake View Way, Jonesboro and Anthony Shavers, 24, of Hadlock Street, Atlanta, were each charged with theft by receiving stolen property. Isom was also charged with possession of cocaine and Shavers was charged with possession of marijuana.
