The votes are in and the winners have been announced in the First Annual Fayette Festival of Lights.

Glendalough Manor wins the business category, and Crystal Swygert of Fayetteville takes home the residential prize. All of the contestants did a fabulous job decorating their homes and the tour was a great success, according to organizers.

Fayette Senior Services also walks away from the contest and tour with a prize – a check for over $2,000. The Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Fayette Team Two is proud to have raised such a substantial amount in a short period of time.

“We are proud of our efforts and look forward to seeing this become an annual tradition,” said team member Amanda Fields.

“This was so much fun,” said Swygert. “I told all my friends, family, and co-workers and we had a blast driving around looking at lights! I'll be sure to enter again next year.”

The Leadership Fayette program is targeted to developing business and community Leaders. The program runs from late fall through early spring, and provides participants with a broad awareness of the Fayette County community, our businesses, and government entities. Each team in the class must also develop a community service project, which they see through from beginning to end. Team Two chose Fayette Senior Services and is very proud of their accomplishments.
