Bernice Hooks Cooper, 77, Fayetteville, died Jan. 16, 2006. She was born May 7, 1928 in Horry County, S. C. She was retired from Clayton County, and was a member of the McDonough Road Baptist Church. Services were at McDonough Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. David Chancey, the Rev. Dr. J. W. Wallis, and the Rev. Dr. E. C. Chatham officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include sons, Ralph and Wanda Cooper, Senoia, Terry and Suzanne Cooper, Fayetteville; a daughter, Susan and Richard Parker, Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jane Kendrick, Union, S. C. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
