Lansing Ford Manning, 89, Fayetteville, died Jan. 16, 2006. He was born Feb. 21, 1916 in Gray County, Tenn. He was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Graveside services were at the Chattanooga Memorial Park, Chattanooga, Tenn., with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Survivors include his wife, Lois Manning, Fayetteville; a son, Lewis “Joe” Manning, Manassas, Va.; daughters, Lansie Manning, Fayetteville, and Mary Crews, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Leland Manning, Dalton, and a sister, Ailene Burris, Soddy Daisy, Tenn. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
