Smokey Bones in Peachtree City is hosting a viewing party for the season premiere of “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” on Sept. 5. The special two-hour episode airs at 8 p.m. on Fox.

Georgia State Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox will be competing on the show, along with supermodel Kathy Ireland.

According to Smokey Bones general manager David Raymond, Cox, who lives in Fayette County, will be present at the viewing party.

The popular game show is hosted by Alpharetta’s Jeff Foxworthy, and features kids competing with adults, using questions based on lessons taught in elementary school.

Although the show was recorded weeks ago, Cox is not allowed to reveal how well she performed.

Smokey Bones, a perfect place for a viewing party, features television screens that are visible from every seat in the house, with individual sound boxes at each booth, so you can hear the action as well as see it.
