Eva Ruth Lindsey, 77, Fayetteville, died Jan. 21, 2006. She was born March 7, 1928 in Worth County, the 11th and youngest child of J. W. and Havus Denby Whittington of Moultrie. She was graduated from Moultrie High School, where she met her future husband. They lived in the Hapeville area and moved to Fayetteville in 1965. She was a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church for 40 years, taught a Sunday School class, kept records for the junior department and was a current member of the J.O.Y. Sunday School class. She enjoyed going to yard sales, cooking and trying new recipes, and working in the yard with her flowers. Services were at the First Baptist Church Overton Chapel with the Rev. Frank Ellis, and the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial, Fayetteville. Survivors include her husband, Doyle Lindsey, Fayetteville; sons, Dwayne Lindsey, Mark Lindsey, and Don and Susan Lindsey; grandchildren; Mathew, Amanda, Brad, Lauren, Lisabeth, Samuel, Timothy, Savannah, and Noah Lindsey; a great-grandchild, Jadyn; brothers-in-law, Curtis and Pat Lindsey, St. Mary’s, Fla., J. C. Lindsey, Atlanta, and A. J. and Juanita Lindsey, Jacksonville, Fla.; and sisters-in-law, Wilma Whittington, and Berta Mae Whittington, both of Moultrie, and Ann Whittington Eads, Atlanta. Memorial donations may be made to Southwest Christian Care, 7225 Lester Road, Union City, GA 30291, or Fayetteville First Baptist Church Building Fund. Carl J.
