Heritage hosts ‘Bible and science’ seminarTue, 08/26/2008 - 2:46pm

Heritage Church has scheduled a series of talks by Professor Andy McIntosh on subjects related to the Bible and contemporary science. Scheduled Saturday, Sept. 6, and Sunday, Sept. 7, the Science and The Bible Seminar will be held at the church, 150 Lester Rd., between Fayetteville and Peachtree City The schedule of lectures is as follows: Saturday - 6:30 p.m., “Design Intelligence and the Word of God;” 7:45 p.m., “Fossils, Dinosaur Bones and the Bible.” Sunday - 9:15 a.m., “Creation - What is the Issue? What is at Stake?” McIntosh, professor of thermodynamics and combustion theory at the University of Leeds in England, regularly speaks on campuses in the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and the United States on behalf of the Biblical teaching on creation. He is the author of Genesis for Today from DayOne Publications and has contributed to the Banner of Truth magazine. He is a member of the Reformed Baptist Church of Leeds, England. On Monday, Sept. 8, he will speak at Georgia Tech under the auspices of “Answers in Genesis,” which will have a book table at the seminar at the Fayetteville church.
