A north Fayette teen has been arrested for molesting a 12-year-old girl, sheriff’s deputies reported.

Auston Wayne Relaford, 17, was charged with child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes, deputies said. The incident took place at a residence on Shenandoah Trace off Ga. Highway 138.

The victim is a family member, officials confirmed. Relaford was arrested Sunday, deputies said.

Deputies are also looking into a Jonesboro man charged with two burglaries who may be responsible for other burglaries in Fayette. O’Bryan Ettenan Carter, 24, of Washington Drive, Jonesboro is charged with two counts of burglary, driving with an improper tag display and driving with a suspended license.
