Pike earns Eagle award

Sean Aleksander Pike, having completed the requirements for and having been examined by an Eagle Scout Board, was found worthy of the rank of Eagle Scout. In honor of his achievement, an Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held on Sunday, July 13, at Sonrise Baptist Church in Newnan, Ga. The Eagle Award is the highest rank in Boy Scouting. On his trail to Eagle Scout, Pike earned 29 merit badges and completed his Eagle Scout project at the 4-H Shooting Range in Fayette County. For his project Pike planned, organized and completed the construction of a handicap ramp at the shooting range. Pike graduated in May from Landmark Christian School and will be attending Samford University in Birmingham in the fall. Pike is a member of Boy Scout Troop 79 of Tyrone.
