Gallery Players get set for Gallery Row performanceThu, 08/14/2008 - 4:14pm
By: The Citizen
Offshoot Productions’ improvisation troupe, the Gallery Players, is slated to perform at the Gallery Row coffee shop in Peachtree City on Sunday, August 24, at 7 p.m., with a return engagement scheduled for September 7. The troupe of professional actors, which includes Elizabeth Clausen, Andy Fleming, Kristi Israel, Betty Mitchell, Paige Steadman and Joey Waldrop, has a wide repertory and the kind of rapport that develops over time in a hard-working and talented ensemble. According to director Susan M. Steadman, Ph.D., “Each actor brings his or her unique talent to the mix. Rehearsals are a joy – frequently hysterically funny, in fact – and everyone appreciates the others’ abilities.” Although there are six performers, only four or five appear in each show, allowing the actors to engage in other stage or film opportunities while remaining a troupe member. Gallery Row’s Peachtree City location is in the Kedron shopping center, at Ga. Highway 74 and Peachtree Parkway, is diagonally across from Target. A $10 cover charge, which may be paid at the door, includes complimentary coffee, and audience members may purchase cheesecake.
