Mr. and Mrs. David B. Sims of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarabeth Sims, to Daniel Ryan Hershey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey B. Hershey also of Peachtree City. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Marjorie Thomson of Memphis Tenn., Eula Sims of Johnson City, Tenn., the late Dudley Thomson of Memphis Tenn., and the late Benton Sims of Johnson City, Tenn. She is a 2004 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 2008 graduate of Samford University where she earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is a newly certified registered nurse and will soon be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force. The groom-elect is the grandson of Richard and Patricia Hershey of Birmingham, Ala., and Jean Smith of Fairhope, Ala., and the late Donald Smith. He is a 2004 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 2008 graduate of Birmingham Southern College where he earned a bachelor of science in business administration. He also is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He was a member of the Birmingham Southern Men’s Soccer team. The wedding will be Aug. 16, 2008, at the historic Donnelly House in Birmingham, Ala. Following the honeymoon, the couple will reside in Newport News, Va., where they will be stationed at Langley Air Force Base. login to post comments |
