Beginning today, children aged 7 to 10 have a chance to experience the thrill of theatre in “Creating Characters,” offered by the Tyrone Recreation Department at the Roger Spencer Community Center, 145 Commerce Drive.  Instructor Susan M. Steadman, Ph.D. artistic director of Offshoot Productions, will lead participants through theatre games and improvisation designed to help young actors make their characters vivid and believable. The class meets on Tuesdays, from 3:30 to 4:30, for five sessions, ending March 28. Invited guests will enjoy a demonstration at the last class meeting. For information on class content, contact Dr. Steadman at 770-631-2362 or offshootpr@aol.com. For registration information, including program costs, call Tyrone Recreation at 770-478-4694 or send e-mails to tyronerec@numail.org.
