School Board Meeting on SPLOST

The Citizen write-up on the board meeting seems to indicate that all those attending
(actually not a crowd as I understand it) were for the SPLOST.
I suppose that was a guess by the few speakers.
Now, let me ask; would not several people show up for this meeting who had a self-interest in more money for the school board? You know school workers, relatives,teachers, etc?
If my plan was to vote against more taxes for them wouldn't I just ignore the board meeting?
I think the board knows that it will be soundly defeated due to our current
economy situation. It is however a good excuse to cut some stuff we need in the schools and leave some we don't need.

They certainly won't put kids driving classes back in spite of the hundreds of teenagers out there having serious wrecks and dying from lack of instruction.
I know, that is a parent problem!
