Wilden Plastics expansion OK’dFri, 08/01/2008 - 1:47pm
By: John Munford
Peachtree City planners have signed off on a local industry’s expansion plan. The 12,000 square foot office/warehouse building will be added to the Wilden Plastics campus on Ga. Highway 74 south. The conceptual plan was approved by the Planning Commission Monday night. The building will be located north of the existing driveway for the Wilden property and will add six parking spaces. The facility will be the new home for the company’s mold shop, and will also have two labs and office support as well, company representatives have said. The side of the building fronting Hwy. 74 and the side facing the existing Wilden building will include glass and stucco features. The building will be located on less than an acre on what is currently a wooded, undeveloped portion of the 17-acre campus. Wilden representatives changed the initial plan slightly, changing the grading to keep vegetation in the tree save and landscape buffer along Hwy. 74 and adding detail to the exterior of the building, among other improvements, city planning staff noted. login to post comments |
