Brooks speech pathologist authors children's book

Georgia author Leslie S. Jones, a resident of Brooks, Ga., has released nationwide a new, inspirational children's book titled, "Adventures of Callaway."

Published by Tate Publishing & Enterprises, the book tells the story of Donovan and Callaway who are best friends, but Donovan is also best friends with Jesus and as a result he learns all about forgiveness, submission, obedience, trust and faith.

The book is available at any bookstore nationwide or can be ordered through barnesandnoble.com, amazon.com or target.com. Tate Publishing also offers the children's book as an eLIVE book, meaning it contains a code to redeem a free audio book download from the publisher's website.

Jones has a professional background as a speech language pathologist and earned a master's degree in the field as well. She has written articles for numerous professional magazines. She has also developed professional products and programs focusing on language development through literacy. One program she developed is called "Students Projecting Excellence through Efficient communication Habits—SPEECH" for high school students in her community.

She is owner of Talk It Up, Inc. Success Through Communication, a local speech therapy and corporate speaking enhancement practice.
