• Jasczynski named to dean’s list Michelle Jasczynski of Fayetteville has made the dean’s list at Berry College in Rome Georgia. Jasczynski is a 2007 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and the daughter of Paul and Karen Jasczynski. She has also been awarded a scholarship program from Berry College to attend Seoul Women’s University in Korea in the International Relations program. With a 3.8 grade average, Jasczynski is the recipient of Georgia's Hope Scholarship entering her third year at Berry College while working in student education and work program. She studies psychology and language arts. • Roberts graduates from Wesleyan College Leah Gabrielle Roberts, of Fayetteville, Ga., graduated from Wesleyan College on May 10, 2008. She earned a bachelor of arts degree with a major in biology. She is the daughter of James and LaChanze Roberts and a graduate of Fayette County High School. • Mathews recognized as honor graduate Pvt. Debbie Mathews was recognized as the most outstanding soldier during Army Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training with the 14h Military Police Brigade at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. She was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for her leadership ability, warrior spirit and overall knowledge of military subjects as well as her exemplary performance in all phases of training. Mathews was also awarded the Certificate of Exceptional Achievement for having the highest score on the physical fitness test, demonstrating her commitment to duty, self sacrifice and discipline. During the 19 weeks of training, Mathews studied the Army history and values, experienced extensive training with weapons and more. She is the wife of Marcus Mathews, the mother of Jaylee, Jessie-Raye and Hunter Mathews and the daughter of Gene and Doris Newton. login to post comments |
