Dugout Club Hurricanes win USSSA World Series

The 12U Dugout Club Hurricanes baseball team from Peachtree City won the USSSA World Series in Pensacola, Florida last week.
 
The team, coached by Manager Gary Cearbaugh and coaches Travis Jenkins and Keith Richardson went undefeated and outscored their opponents 50-18 in 5 bracket play games and won the championship 7-2.   The team’s efforts resulted in finishing out the season ranked second in the state of Georgia and 12th in the nation overall.
 
The members of the team are:  Joe Cearbaugh, Cameron Chambers, Alex Dwyer, Brian Floyd, Brooks Hardy, Austin Jenkins, Grant Krug, Billy Magill, Liam Malone, Austin O’Farrell, Andrew Richardson, Jakob Robinson and Adam Weisheit.  Weisheit snared the Outstanding Offensive Player award while Austin Jenkins took home the MVP award for the series. 
 
The Hurricanes beat out 16 other teams in the annual tournament, which included teams from North Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi.
