In round numbers!A $200 million dollar education budget for next year is proposed. That figures out to be a substantial increase every year even though our school age population is decreasing. Where is the industry? Where will the tax money come from with no industry? We are likely to also lose 10-15% of the current homes to foreclosure in the next 2-3 years, causing further erosion of home values. Thus, less tax income for Fayette. Some are not learning very much from our country's current economic condition! Budgets and salaries must be decreased---not increased. The purpose of schools is to teach---not provide jobs. Not doing that very well either. Bonkers's blog | login to post comments |
