Harlan and Frankie Quamme of Peachtree City will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary July 27, 2008. They are parents of four children: Colleen Swartsenburg; Scott (Cindy) Quamme; Carolyn (Tim) Shirey;and Kim (Rich) Miller; and grandparents of ten grandchildren, Rachel, Zachary, Jonathan, Eric, Joshua, Owen, Rebekah, Karissa, Evan, and Lauren. The Quammes were married at Magnolia Baptist Church in Whigham, Ga.and have lived in Texas, Minnesota, Iowa, North Carolina, Illinois, South Carolina, and Georgia, the past 30 years in Fayette County. Harlan retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserves after 27 years, served as a test pilot for Lockheed and a check pilot for the FAA, and flew with United Airlines until his retirement. Frankie kept the home fires burning, managed the investments, and tended to the innumerable tasks at hand. The couple has enjoyed playing bridge, attending the theater, and traveling the world together. The children will host a 50th anniversary party for friends and family at First Baptist Church in Peachtree City . login to post comments |
