Mr. and Mrs. Gerald William Vaughan of Houston, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Gwen Kathleen Vaughan, to William Edward Whitehouse, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Whitehouse of Peachtree City. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Franklin Vaughan of Saint Louis, Mo. and the late Fredrick Earnest Charles Jenkins and Mrs. Vera Maxine Jenkins also of Saint Louis. She is a graduate of Episcopal High School of Baton Rouge, La. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University of Dallas, Texas, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and psychology. She received her clinical doctorate degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She is employed as a doctor of physical therapy at M.D Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Leslie Whitehouse of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and the late Walter Joseph Rountree and Mrs. Loretta Catherine Rountree also of Fort Lauderdale. He is a 2001 graduate of McIntosh High School of Peachtree City and a 2005 graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy of Kings Point, N.Y., where he earned a bachelor’s degree in marine transportation. He is a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the United States Navy Reserve. He is employed in Gulf Coast management with the Jackson Kearney Group in New Orleans La., Pascagoula Miss., and Houston, Texas. A wedding in the French Quarter is planned for Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, in New Orleans, La. Following a honeymoon to Antigua in the West Indies, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas. login to post comments |
