Fayette County School board will meet Monday night at 7 p.m. to discuss putting a one-percent Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) on the November ballot.

Estimated to bring in $110-115 million in the next five years, the revenues would fund debt service ($38 million), technology ($35 million), security ($2.5 million), testbook adoption ($2.5 million), transportation ($10 million) and an aquatic facility ($10 million).

If they decide to pursue the SPLOST, board members would need to adoption on resolution to that affect on Aug. 4.
