Peachtree City New Neighbors League Club (NNLC) will sponsor its annual "Amnesty Month" in August. Normally, new residents are invited to join NNLC within their first year of moving to Peachtree City or surrounding towns.

Amnesty month opens membership to residents who have lived in the area longer than a year but did not have an opportunity to join.

NNLC is an Atlanta-based organization with 14 chapters throughout the United States. Its motto is "fun and friendship" and its purpose is to bring together new residents so they can make friends while adjusting to new surroundings.

The club offers a wide variety of social activities. Many activities are geared toward helping new residents learn about the area such as tours and luncheons.

The August general meeting will be on Thursday, August 7 at 9:30 a.m. at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City. For more information please contact the area representative, Carol Jensen-Linton, at 770-486-9116 or visit www.newneighborsPTC.com.
