Mary Lou Flemister, 97, Fayetteville, died July 10, 2008. She was born Jan. 20 1911 in Murray County, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fielding McGhee Flemister Sr., a daughter, JoAnn Gaylor, a brother, Horace K. Treadwell, and sisters, Ruth Ross and Doris Treadwell. She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Tom Daughtery officiating. Interment was at Forest Hills Cemetery, Forest Park. Survivors include a son, Fielding McGhee Flemister Jr.; a daughter, Mary Evelyn and Virgil Merritt Jr.; a son-in-law, Louis Gaylor; grandchildren, Fielding McGhee Flemister III, Julie Ann Thomas, Kathy Lynn Jones, Michael Louis Gaylor, Pamela Sue Dolden, Virgil Thurston Merritt, Susan Diane Knight, and Brian Keith Merritt; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Boyd Treadwell and J. B. Treadwell. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
