William E. Bacon, 79, Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Peachtree City, died July 7, 2008. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps. He was graduated from the Southern College of Pharmacy at Mercer University. He opened Peachtree City Pharmacy in the early 1980s and was retired from Kroger Pharmacy four years ago. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Peachtree City First Baptist Church. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor John Weber officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Bacon, Jacksonville; a son, Darrell Bacon; a daughter, Karyl and Rick Squibb; and grandchildren, Ashley Squibb, Kristyn Squibb, and Shayne Bacon. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
