10u Chilidogs win World Series

The 10 & Under Home Plate Chili Dogs (Black) baseball team from Peachtree City won the Grand Slam World Series in Panama City Beach, Florida, during Fourth of July week.

In winning the 6’4”-tall championship trophy, the Chili Dogs (Black), coached by Kevin Taylor, David Pippin and Marlon Evans, went undefeated and outscored their opponents in seven games, 67-21. Colby Taylor, Cole Evans and Brandon Bell won five games pitching with a combined ERA of 3.45. Brandon and Andrew Hitchcock hit .600 to pace the team in batting. Brandon also had two home runs and ten RBIs, and Sam Sheek batted .500 with nine stolen bases.
The 10 & Under Home Plate Chili Dogs (Red) team, coached by Robert Townsend and Tony Nalley, finished fourth in the 13-team championship playoffs, which included teams from Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Indiana.
