Mack "Jim" Jones Jr., 61, Griffin, formerly of Hampton, died July 1, 2008. He was graduated from Joe E. Brown High School in 1965 and then served in the United States Army. He was the owner and operator of the Riverdale Dairy Queen for 37 years. He was a member of the Lions Club and an active member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Mark Westmoreland officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include his wife, Fran Jones, Griffin; daughters, Shelley and Matt Drummond, Griffin, and DeeDee and Michael Gebhardt, Princeton, N.J.; and was "papa" to grandsons, Will, Cal, and Jack; mother, Edna Jones, Hampton; and brother, Benjamin Jones, Hampton. Memorial donations may be given to Square Foot Ministry, P.O. Box 371, Fayetteville, GA 30214, or The Gideons. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
