Recently, I was privileged to provide street gang training to about 25 Fayette County law enforcement officers from four different law enforcement agencies. The training was arranged for and sponsored by District Attorney Scott Ballard and included district attorney personnel.

At the end of the street gang training, I left Fayette County with another thought. Maybe all Fayette County citizens should come together on this very important societal issue and hand out as a public service free rubber bracelets with the letters W.W.S.B.D. to all known or suspected street gang members living or operating in Fayette County.

This way street gang members, prior to committing a crime in Fayette County, could ask themselves: What Would DA Scott Ballard Do? Their answer would undoubtedly be: Prosecute me!

Thanks, District Attorney Scott Ballard, for your leadership in standing up for the citizens in Fayette County against criminal street gangs and gang members.
