Unemployment rate

The USA continues to have unemployment at 5%, plus, no matter how many layoff and firings the government counts. Been 50-60,000 for a long time now per month----yet the % unemployed stays under 6%, no matter what.

Are we again putting out false numbers hoping to adjust later when they get better?

The 6% area is a laugh anyway as to the TRUE unemployed numbers. Not everyone is looking for work or wants what work is available, but never the less they are unemployed for whatever reason, and drag on society.

Are women unemployed if they aren't on unemployment payroll? If so add them to the 6%.

Are men unemployed if they aren't drawing unemployment? If so add them to the 6%.

Are kids 14-18 unemployed if they have no job right now? If so add them to the 6%.

Are the people on a payroll paid by taxpayers gainfully unemployed and contributing(military, police, firemen, civil service, all other government)? employees)? If not add them to the unemployed (productive category).

Are prisoners everywhere unemployed? If so add them to the 6%.

Are disabled and mental hospital patients unemployed? If so add them to the 6%.

Are people on Medicaid unemployed? If so add them to the 6%.

Are all people on sick leave, leaves of absence, etc., unemployed? If so add them to the 6%.

Are kids over 17 who live at home and surf mostly unemployed? If so add to the 6%.

Are adult students unemployed for the most part? If so add them to the 6%.

How about teachrs, professors, school administrators, etc,?

If so you may be a red-nek if.....

What then is the true unemployment number that the rest have to support?

I say 45% unemployment--about the same as Europe.
