Robert Bryant Harris Sr., 71, Newnan, died Jan. 8, 2006. He was born April 9, 1934 in Pine Hill, Ala., son of Perry and Lottie Harris. He moved to Newnan in 1961. A construction contractor by trade, he built sawmills and other commercial buildings before his retirement several years ago. Services were at the Jones Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Harry Parkerson officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Margie Harris; a son, Robert Bryant Harris Jr.; a daughter, Joan Tate; a brother, Mack Harris; sisters, Anna Brooks, Mamie Norton, Terry Demet, and Edith Mosley; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Jones Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
