Seaborn Thomas Stone

Seaborn Thomas “Red” Stone, 92, Fairburn, died Jan. 15, 3006. He was born Oct. 18, 1913 in Fulton County. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Randolph and Smithie Thames Stone, and a grandson, Jason “Rocky” Stone. He was a retired official of Southern Bell with 35 years of service, retiring in 1972. He was a life-long member of the Telephone Pioneers and the oldest member of the Bell Tell Club. He was a member of the Georgia National Guard. Services were at Carmichael-Hemperley chapel with Minister John Greer officiating. Interment was at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Carolyn Genter Stone, Fairburn; sons, John M. Stone, Greenville, S. C., James B. Stone, Peachtree City, and Daniel L. Stone, Buford; grandchildren, Byron Stone, Daniel Stone, Jean Marie Stone, and Matthew Stone; and a great-granddaughter, Byron Stone, daughter of Byron and Lauren Stone. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
