Sites open in PTC, Fayetteville and Tyrone

Voters who’ve already made up their mind will have the chance to avoid lines on election day by voting the week before.

Three polling sites in the county will be available for voters between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday, July 7 through Friday, July 11.
The three locations are the Tyrone Library, the Peachtree City Library and the County Commission chambers on the downstairs level of the Fayette County Stonewall government complex in downtown Fayetteville.

Though the election is a primary, it will serve as the effective general election because almost all Republican candidates are not facing any competition from Democratic opponents. In the primary, voters must select either a Republican or a Democratic ballot.

Voters are reminded that they must present photo identification at the polls. Six acceptable forms of photo ID include:
• A valid Georgia driver’s license, even if it’s expired;

• A valid photo ID card issued by any entity of the state of Georgia, any other state, or the U.S. , including one issued by the Department of Driver Services or your county registrar’s
•A valid U.S. Passport
• A valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of this state.
• A valid U.S. Military ID card with Photo; or
• A valid Tribal ID with photo
