Fayette Senior Services’ recently held Lunch & Learn entitled: “Let’s Talk About This, Now!” was a sold-out event. In support of the community’s interest for this popular session, Fayette Senior Services is pleased to offer the presentation again July 9 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a second session held at 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $5 for either session. Lunch is included with the afternoon program and light refreshments are included in the evening.

Presented by Mary Lynn Kirby of the Fayette Law Group, the session focuses on the tough quality of life and end-of-life decisions that are often difficult to discuss with spouses or family members. Kirby offers a sensible guide to help you become knowledgeable about properly expressing your wishes regarding advance medical directives, wills, trusts and power of attorney.

Participants will also understand the importance of having a Personal Legacy Statement and learn practical and caring ways to talk with family about important hard-to-face issues before it’s too late. The program is designed to help families understand that there are many questions that need to be answered before a crisis occurs and in a way that is compliant with Georgia’s new state laws.

The program will be held at Fayette Senior Services Life Enrichment Center located at 4 Center Drive inFayetteville (across from the Fayette County Justice Center). To register call 770-461-0813. Advanced registration is required but the registration fee can be paid at the door. The registration deadline is July 3. For more information call Susan Landais, program manager, at 770-461-0813 Ext. 115.
