This Sunday, June 29, the Rev. Kristen Scarboro will officially begin her service as minister to families with children at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Scarboro was officially added as a member of the staff on June 23.

A native of Athens, Ga., Scarboro was graduated from the University of Georgia and Duke Divinity School where she received a master of divinity degree with a certificate in Christian education.

She is a newly commissioned deacon in the North Georgia Conference.

In addition to her main emphasis on families with children, Scarboro will also share in other pastoral duties.
