Larry and Carol Walls of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Renée Elizabeth, to Marcus Eugene Garrett, son of Gene and Marge Garrett of Tyrone.

The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and a 2003 graduate of Atlanta Christian College, where she received a bachelor of business administration degree. She works for The Citizen Newspapers and Fayette Woman Magazine as a sales assistant.

The groom-elect is a 2000 graduate of Sandy Creek High School, a 2005 graduate of Griffin Technical College, and is currently attending Clayton State University where he will receive his bachelor of applied sciences degree. He works for BHW Sheet Metal as a drafter.

The couple will be married Sept. 5, 2008 in Tyrone at First Christian Church.
