Finally, a luxury laundry roomThu, 01/19/2006 - 4:04pm

This is not your grandmother’s laundry room. It’s not hidden in the basement, it’s not dark and dingy, and it’s not tiny. Rather, today’s laundry room is a reward to spend time in, not a punishment. Bright windows let the light shine in, while countertop space is created by modern front-loading washers that allow extra folding area above. Enameled cabinetry reflects the level of finish of the rest of the house, instead of installing an extra cabinet you found in the garage. A drop-in sink is kitchen-sized, with a high spout faucet. This luxury laundry is not in the basement, but instead is on the second floor of this new, two-story model home — where the dirty clothes are. No more tripping on the stairs lugging dirty or clean clothes baskets. login to post comments |
