Local student awarded Trustee’s Scholarship

Meagan Hogarth, a 2008 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School, has been awarded the Trustee’s Scholarship from Winthrop University in recognition of her academic excellence, leadership and citizenship. This scholarship has a value of more than $84,600 over four years. She will be entering the university in the fall of 2008 in the honors program. Founded in 1886, Winthrop is a four-year undergraduate liberal arts college in South Carolina. The university has been named in the 2008 edition of the Princeton Review as one of “America’s Best Value Colleges” and continues to be on its list of “Best Southeastern Colleges.” Hogarth is the daughter of Wayne and Tanya Hogarth of Fayetteville.
