Wedding season is in full swing, and for those looking to brush up their dance floor skills, the Peachtree City Parks and Recreation Department has an alternative to lengthy dance lessons.

Two instructors, with over 40 combined years of experience in social and ballroom dancing events, will teach two Wedding Dance Workshops for people who want to learn to dance comfortably and look surprisingly elegant. The dance can be learned for within the time frame of an hour, but will look like you spent months learning how to dance. The one-step, which is danced for four/four timing music, is mainly danced to slow, romantic music, that is not Waltz music.

The Wedding Dance Workshop will cover different types of slow dances as well as having a selection of songs to help people pick out a song, it they do not have music.

The Wedding Workshops will be Saturday, June 21, from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and Friday, July 11, from 8 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. and will be held at The Gathering Place.
